Oriela van der Walt
Simple construction worker by day, actress, radio presenter and dreamer by part time. Ori has a keen interest in people, cultures and countries. She says she is always amazed at how similar seemingly disparate groups of people really are. A rainbow of nations converged to follow one true Light. Her passion for the arts is as a result of various poets, authors, playwrights, musicians and artists sharing their human experience of joy, pain, tears and laughter. She currently presents a weekly Magazine programme 'Catholic Culture Vulture'. Join her every Wednesday evening from 19h00 as she learns various Catholic prayers in Sesotho. |

Jose Luis da Silva Jose Luis da Silva is a veteran Portuguese broadcaster in South Africa. He broadcast for many years on Radio Cidade and is well known in the journalism world. He is a well connected Catholic. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our programming schedule. Listen to him on "Boa Noite Afrika", every Saturday evening from 18h00 to 19h00. |

Fr Rodney George OMI Fr Rodney, shortly after his ordination, left for Brazil where he spent about four years. He has returned and is now fluent in Portuguese (Brazilian Portuguese!!) and the parish priest of St Augustine Catholic Church in Germiston. His programme ONS PRAAT AFRIKAANS is broadcast at 19h00 on Sundays. This is another welcome addition to our line up. |

Martin Badenhorst OP Fr Martin is the prior of the Dominican Priory in Pietermaritzburg. He studied in Rome, is a scripture scholar and presents our scripture programmes. He also lectures in scripture at St Joseph's Theological Institute. |

Brian Letellier
Brian is a businessman and family man with a keen interest and knowledge of sport. He comes in once a week for his programme 'Time to Share' on Mondays from 18h30. In it he chats to various sports experts about results and upcoming games, gets updates on Catholic weekly newspaper with Southern Cross editor, discusses travel, books and food. |

Graeme Wilkinson
Graeme Wilkinson has been involved in choral music all his life. He currently works for a Social Investments company as a Senior CSI practitioner. Even with Social Sciences honours degree, he is an expert on choral music. He comes in once a week to present a show called Ya lla Meropa (@yallameropa on twitter) with Khanya Litabe on Sundays between 14h00 and 16h00. |

Chris Busschau Married to Ruth for 34 years, 5 children. Active in Rosebank Parish and other church affairs. He and Ruth were very actively involved in Marriage Encounter and, together with Msgr Tony Kelly served as National Co-ordinating team for 3 years in the mid 1980’s. Been broadcasting for Radio Veritas since shortly after the inception of the station. Studied Economics at Wits and Unisa, and started his career as an economist at Anglo American Corporation. Been with the Standard Bank Group for 30 years, currently a senior manager with national responsibilities in the distribution and branch network.. Served as President of the South African Financial Services Association in 2005 and 2006 and also serves on a number of other financial industry bodies. |

John Lee John was born on 24 September 1941 at Sabie. He was raised in the gold-mining communtiy in Gauteng and educated at the Springs Dominican Convent school and CBC Boksburg. A “cradle” Catholic, he received exposure to music, particularly classical and lighter music from an early age due primarily to the influence of his musically gifted mother. He has had a 40 year long career in commercial banking and accounting. He is very active in local Catholic church life and is the co-author of a series of Catholic tracts for Catholics for Truth, defending Catholic teachings. He is currently the cantor at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Johannesburg. He says: “My Catholic Christianity is for me, the pearl of great price”. In recent years he has written and co-oroduced music programmes fore the SABC with Wouter de Wet, Clare Marshall at Radio Today and Dr Mary Rörich at Classic FM. His current weekly music series at Radio Veritas, “Music we Remember” aims at exposing more people to the jewels of classical (mainly vocal) and lighter music. His abiding interest in opera and classical vocal music includes a 37 year long friendship with the Spanish soprano , Victoria de los Angeles. John is the father of four married sons and has six grandchildren. |

Colin Yorke He studied music at the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal School of Church Music in London and later joined the staff there as Headquarter's Choirmaster. he conducted his own choral society and orchestra in addItion to fulL time secondary school teaching. After returning to SA in 1989 he was appointed to the music staff of the University of Witwatersrand and as a senior music presenter/producer and newsreader at the SABC. He was appointed conductor of the Johannesburg Bach choir in 1990 and conducted many choral/orchestral concerts together with the SABC Symphony Orchestra. He joined Radio Veritas in 2004 and enjoys the privilege of presenting his daily programme of classical music and his three-hour live programme every Sunday, Sunday Matins from 06h00 - 09h00 - a good preparation for your Sunday mass. |

Kananelo Buthelezi Has been with Radio Veritas since 2008. She presents Youthwise, a variety youth show every Fridays 6-7pm. She obtained her Internal Audit Degree from the University of Pretoria and is currently working for a private company as a Specialist Auditor. Kananelo also provides private accounting sessions to high school learners based in Gauteng through www.kace-accounting.co.za While studying at the university, Kananelo was very active within the ACTS (Association of Catholic Tertiary Students) Organization, heading portfolios such as provincial liturgy committee, ACTS TUKS spokesperson. She is passionate about the youth and is involved in numerous youth initiatives. |

Günther Simmermacher
The editor of The Southern Cross, the national weekly Catholic newspaper. An avid collector of music, he has an extensive archive of different types music which he draws on for his programme, Rhythm and Truths (Sundays at 13h00, repeated Tuesdays at 19h00), bringing a new slant to popular music and our faith. He is also a frequent voice on air commenting on current affairs, and is interviewed on Monday evenings on Brian Letellier’s magazine show. |

Tiiso Mosoeu
Tiiso Mosoeu is a music-driven, ambitious young man from Molapo, Soweto. His love for radio stems from the passion he has for music, he obtained a National Media Studies diploma at Boston Media House, majoring in radio broadcasting, programming and Public Relations. He joined Radio Veritas as a voice-over artist for the Youthwise show, and now has been involved in the Breakfast show with Fr. Emil Blaser. Its been a fun-filled experience for him. |

Niall comes in three times a week and puts our technical producers through training. He is by profession a pharmacist, someone with an MBA and someone with a wealth of knowledge in broadcasting. We treasure his presence amongst us. |

Jabulani Msimanga
Jabulani Msimanga is a 24 year old young man from Heilbron where he did his matric at Seliba Thuto Secondary School. He was very active in his parish as an altar server and member of Chiro. Thereafter he proceeded to UCT where he completed three years of a Mechanical Engineering degree. He also spent a year in Malaysia in 2009 at Petronas. In 2012 he studied radio production at NEMISA in Johannesburg and spent two weeks of internship with us as part of the completion of his course. He has had exposure to radio at Radio Masupatsela in Botshabelo and at campus radio at UCT. |
